Structural Treated Pine
The structural treated pine timber produced by Tasman KB has a full impregnation process of the chemical solution that contains fungicides and insecticides that offers long-term protection against decay, insects, and organisms that destroy wood. This treatment is an assurance of exceptional weathering in the exposed operation of pergolas, gazebos, decking frames, and outdoor structures.
Two profile finishes are available:
Rougher Headed (RH/Micro Line) - It has more of a rougher header or micro-grooved machined profile applied which is preferred in structural applications where the appearance is of secondary importance. Dressed All Round (DAR) - Smooth machined profile can be used in appearance grade applications where appearance is important.
Specifications of Treatment and Grading
H3 Hazard Level - CCA/LOSP above-ground, treated, fungal decadence and insect infestation, such as termites and borers.
Kiln Dried (KD) - Dried to receive optimal moisture content, thereby guaranteeing dimensional stability and with a reduced warping or twisting.
F7, MGP10 MGP12 grades - Evaluation of appearance and structural properties to satisfy particular engineering needs.

This timber is sustainable in growth and is workable with great efficiency and with proper treatment; it gives a good performance both in the open and the covered areas.
Key Characteristics:
Light brown-yellow heartwood and white-yellow sapwood.
Typically, straight and common knot of the species.
Compounded density and comparatively soft texture.
Standard tools are easy to work with.
Open grain structure can easily be treated to Hazard Level 6 with a preservative treatment.
Picked at 25-30 years to achieve the best balance between the growth and quality.
