It is widely used in Australia for supporting suspended flooring systems in new construction, renovations, decks, and extensions, particularly on sloping or difficult sites.

Key Features and Components

The Uni-Pier system is engineered as a two-part, prefabricated system that is hot dip galvanized for superior corrosion resistance and longevity.

1. The Post

• This is the vertical support, typically a square hollow section (SHS) steel post.
• It has a base plate welded to the bottom, which is anchored to the concrete footing or pad (either bolted down or cast-in).
• Posts are supplied in standard incremental lengths (e.g., 200mm, 400mm, etc.) and come in various grades (e.g., Builder's Grade, Heavy Grade) to suit different load and height requirements.

2. The Head Assembly

• This is the top part that connects to the floor structure's bearer or beam (timber or steel).
• It features an integrated fin plate for securing the bearer.
• It is available with or without an integrated ant cap (termite shield).
• The head assembly slides over or into the post, providing the critical feature: adjustability.
